Although our current stint of international travel has come to a close, we have had the privilege of being in on some of  the excitement and planning for other travelers. Just over a week from when we returned to Oregon, our close friends, Keith and Laura Schneider, headed out on their own two month adventure to Kenya and Greece. It was so fun to share with them more specifically about our Kenyan experience and give them advice on what to expect and thoughts about what Kenya has to offer. Of course, we have the shared advantage of the expertise of our mutual friend Kim Grimes, Kenyan resident and hostess extraordinaire.

Sarah and Spanky: Soon to be world travelers

We have also had a cool connection to a couple from the Spokane area who is departing late July for seven months of travel. They tuned into our blog at the suggestion of a friend and have been following us around and we look forward to following them as well. Last night we had a fun opportunity to Skype with them for a couple of hours and chat about the realities and joys of travel as well as things we learned along the way. We were nearly ready to hit the road again after talking with them and remembering what it was like to be **there**–two months before leaving and so excited to get started. It only took a second for us, as we sat on the couch, to look around, and be so thankful we are exactly where we are right now.
